Holder of a master’s degree in political Science, Hélène Gignac works in the field of politics and environnement since 30 years. After having worked for Government and various companies, Mrs Gignac runs for more than 16 years the Centre de transfert technologique en écologie industrielle, an apply research centre. She was nominated « Intervener of the Year » at the Sorel-Tracy Economic Gala in 2001 for her role in the recognition of Lac-Saint-Pierre Region as a Biosphere Reserve of UNESCO and in 2013 as initiator of the Technopole in Industrial Ecology of Sorel-Tracy. She is a member of the Ministeriel Advisory Committee on residual Waste of the Québec Government, a member of Écotech, the Québec cluster of clean technology, and sits on the board of Directors of ACFAS, l’Association francophone pour le Savoir.
Centre de transfert technologique en Écologie industrielle : Since 1999, CTTÉI is a Québec organization recognized for its innovative approaches to waste valorization, clean technology and industrial symbiosis. We used increasingly collaborative work to co-create sustainable development solutions for enterprises and organizations. We promote strategies of circular economy, which include a new definition of the users in the modes of production and consumption. We believe it is essential to support innovation and research.
It is a member of the Réseau Trans-tech, the regroupment of the Collegial Centres of Québec.
