Marie Evo, associate at the architecture and urban planning design studio ‘Devillers et Associés’, is a 44 years old french architect, civil engineer and city planner specialized in strategic planning, territorial data analysis and mobility studies. She leads the “Territoires et Mobilités” competence pole at D&A and develops a research on how to combine urban planning and transport systems design.
She has conducted several studies on two French metropolis : Grand Paris and Aix-Marseille-Provence which were unique opportunities for her to reflect on metropolis organization.
Besides those big scales, she has produced several strategic planning and mobility schemes in the Ile de France area (Fresnes, Sénart, Pôle d’Orly, Le Bourget, …) and is currently working on the strategic planning of Caen’s Science Park.
In her former professional activity, she has worked on several projects dealing with civil engineering, public space design and transport planning (office buildings, museums, industrial sites, parking lots, high level transport systems…), which enables her to manipulate easily the different parts that build up the urban fabric of cities.
Theo Willemsen, owner of Theorit Consultancy, is specialized in port strategy and management, port logistics, intermodal transportation and works for port authorities, governments, terminal- and network operators, interest groups, forwarders, with a special interest in France.
Before he started as a port consultant in 2009, he worked for the Port of Rotterdam for more than twenty-five years. As manager he was responsible for several departments in the port of Rotterdam and he was a management team member for more than fifteen years. He has a lot of experience in strategic port issues, port planning, economic studies and the
ports’ involvement in the social infrastructure.
