Claudia Casini graduates in Architectural engineering at the University of Pisa in 2006 and holds a PhD in "Science and methods for the city and the territory of Europe" (2010). In 2012 takes a Master’s Degree in "Expert about Participation in Decision-making and territorial government" at the University of Pisa. She is member of the Order of Engineers of the Province of Livorno and works both as a freelancer than as university researcher, collaborating with the Department of Engineering of Energy, Systems, Land and Construction (DESTEC) and with the Logistics Systems Department at the University of Pisa. She works about sustainable development in urban areas and decision support systems for local governance, focusing in particular on the integration in planning of geographic information systems, processes of environmental assessment of transformations, energy issues at the urban scale and practices of participatory planning.
Simona Corradini is an architect, graduated in 1997 in Firenze, with a PhD in Urban Planning at the University of Firenze in 2005, with a a master degree about "The city and the water : past, present and future of an unique genetic character ". She works as a freelance and as research in the field of port planning and urban revitalization.
She is a member of INU Toscana focus on Port Research, and works as consultant for “Simurg” a company of services and consulting based in Livorno, which offers support in the field of commercial planning, community placemaking and urban revitalization for public administrations. She is author of articles published in the PortusPlus online review, in the Italian Institute of Urban Planning magazine and on the website academia.edu.
