PhD, MArch Architecture and Urbanistics, is co-founder of the Spontaneous City International (SPCitI), where she explores and guides innovative urban planning processes. She studied Architecture at the University of RomaIII, and subsequently graduated from the Berlage Institute in the Netherlands. In the spring of 2014 she got her PhD at TUDelft, investigating “The Architecture of Co-operation
- A project for organizing collective creativity”. Her ambition lays in bringing together people, knowledge and disciplines in a multi-stakeholder approach. Her work as an architect and urban designer has led her through different paths in the Netherlands, Brazil, the UK and other international places, always working with local partners. In addition, she writes for different architectural magazines and is co-author and curator of several books and exhibitions, as well as being part of the architecture collective Milktrain.
Christian E. Steinbarth, is Assistant Fund Manager of Ignite Fund Liberia and the Coordinator for Strategic Development for SPARK Liberia.
He has a background in post-conflict economics and International Development Studies, with an MSc from Universiteit van Amsterdam. During his studies, Christian’s research focused on the scope social enterprise and entrepreneurship in a post-conflict context ; demonstrating the complementary nature of social enterprise and post-conflict development strategies through the ’Enterprise for Inclusive Growth’ model. For the past 3 years, Christian has worked on Special Economic Zone development and investment climate policy advising in Liberia. He designed and managed the Social Impact Zone project and co-authored Liberia’s proposed Special Economic Zone Act. Christian also works as a policy lobbyist, and is an active member in several technical working groups for national sector development strategies and investment policies in Liberia.
